Duration: Thru Dec 20, 2011 (very strong possibility of extension)
Work Hours: Typically 40 hours a week

DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years Web Development and UI development. The candidate will take technical and project direction from a Designer and Project manager in delivering object code that meets or exceeds the stated quality standards. The Web and UI development project is currently under way and the person(s) we are seeking will have to join the project mid-stream and come up to speed in less than 4-5 business days on all aspects of the project. They should be able to understand project goals very clearly and be able to work in a cross functional and cross geographic team with very tight deadlines.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must have
=======
Knowledge of CSS, Ajax & Java Script and deep experience in developing cross browser functionality in a Microsoft .Net Environment

Training and experience with best practices in design, coding and peer level testing.

Ability to code in WC3 standard for cross-platform as well as across different browsers.

5+ years of total IT experience and 5+ years of Web / UI development experience
Fundamental training on Systems Analysis and Design

Good to have

MVC3

Intermediate or advanced knowledge of ActionScript 2 & 3 preferred

Financial Services industry experience.
Bachelors degree in computer science.

Experience of working in a digital creative agency OR an education with a strong digital design element

Typesetting, design and layout skills
Knowledge of accessibility standards

Knowledge of different digital platforms " web, mobile (iPad and iPhone, BlackBerry, Android), applications

Attention to detail

Organized and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines

Good communication skills



RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering user experience (UX) specifications (wireframes, HTML mark-up specifications, CSS, and final product object code) for projects according to an agreed brief with a high degree of independence.

Engage in development after a thorough read and comprehension of Business Requirement Documents and Technical Design.

Maintain productivity and quality standards for code development, compilation and unit testing.
Typically a defect leakage of less than 4% per KLOC

To work on UX projects (email campaigns, online, web content, other digital applications) independently, within a team or in partnership with external teams according to an agreed brief

To have a broad understanding of how the audience interacts with services and make use of this knowledge in the development of new projects

To re-purpose existing elements and templates as required by design changes
